HAMATULA HAKPAK
(Based on Bioware's Troll model)
v1.0.0
by Magma

The Hamatula, or Barbed Devil, is a humanoid creature covered in sharp barbs and spines. They constantly seem on edge, eyes darting around nervously. Because of their expertise (and enjoyment) in impaling opponents on their natural weaponry, they are often employed as protectors of important people, and of locations such as vaults and tombs. Of course, as with all devils it is always best to examine the contract of employment very carefully.

The model in this Hakpak was based on the new v3.5 Monster Manual illustration, modelled from the Troll model.

The Hak 2da's are for v1.61 with SOU+HOTU - If you don't have SOU+HOTU installed there will be a bunch of new but blank creature appearances/portraits you cannot use, but other than that there is no impediment. The demo module and ERFs are SOU+HOTU only.

Included are two .erf file with as close to the correct 3eMM stats as I could get. The Hamatula is v3, the Greater Hamatula is really the v3.5 Hamatula. The 'Barbed Defence.txt' file contains the OnPhysicalAttacked script for the Greater (v3.5) Hamatula. A list of things that have not been included:

3e Hamatula:

Skills:
Sense Motive 13

Spells & Abilities:
Desecrate
Major image
Produce Flame
Pyrotechnics
Suggestion
Teleport Without Error - I included a script for teleporting to the strongest PC in my Cornugon Hak Pak. However, that was because charging directly into combat with the most powerful opponents is what they do. There is no indication that this is the case with the Hamatula.
Summon Baatezu (Simulation script by DTime available at http://nwvault.ign.com/Files/scripts/data/1041361656337.shtml)
On hit Fear - Used Aura of fear instead, as there should not be a fear check EVERY time it hits, just the first. The Aura seems a bit less abusive.

3.5e Hamatula

Skills:
Diplomacy 6 (Persuade 6 substituted)
Knowledge 16 (Lore 16 substituted)
Sense Motive 17
Survival 2

Spells & Abilities:
Damage Reduction 10/Good (10/+1 substituted)
Major Image
Scorching Ray
Order's Wrath
Barbed defence: Only Piercing damage used (No Slashing/Piercing option)
Barbed Defence: I have redesigned the barbed defence script to activate on physical attack, rather than on damaged. My bad on that one. I have also redone the conditions for being spiked, so now you monks can fear him too! The only downside is that it will now affect bow users within melee distance, but I think that is reasonable seeing as you will be loading it practically in his spiky face...

Version History:
v1.0.0: Changed Barbed Defence script from OnDamaged to OnPhysicalAttack.
Replaced the GetIsMeleeAttacker() condition with !GetIsRangedAttacker() so unarmed people will be spiked.
v0.9.1 (Beta):	Hamatula released.
